Profile of Tähti

The girl's svelte architecture is of an unassuming height and a moderately athletic build, and her pelt is almost completely awash in a gloomy palette of contrasting shades of charcoal and ash-gray. Perched atop her head are two little sable-tipped ears. Below, her face lives in a deep velvety shadow that extends all the way down her throat and chest to paint her soft underbelly. Out from this elegant mask peer vehement twin flames, both defined by the light gray markings on the ridge of her brow, a coy flutter of ebony lashes cloaking the piercing hold of volcanic yellow and orange eyes.

She typically appears rather neat and polished and bears no obvious scarring. Her scent is that of the Calendula flower— sweet, spicy, and earthy.

Vanity, thy name is Tähti! She teems with relentless, unashamed, unscrupulous egotism. This excessive pride in herself is the crooked root of her emotional sensitivity, manifesting itself in a hot-bloodedness that makes her sassy and brazen at best and fairly rude and disrespectful at worst. After she overcomes her usual initial shyness when meeting someone new, she projects her innermost judgments and sentiments, and she pries and asks questions she has no business asking. To make matters worse, she is rather unserious when it comes to disagreements and even her own hurt feelings. Perceived slights are often taken with great offense and then quickly forgotten about, just as she expects others to hand her their immediate forgiveness after she offends them— in this way she is both difficult and somewhat easy to get along with. Only real mistreatment would be a cause for real revenge.

Surprisingly effortless to please and a bit impulsive, she rarely resists enticement and she tends to do whatever feels right in the moment. This impulsivity also lends her a bit of bravery although some would likely be more inclined to call it foolhardiness, as she may leap into danger without due consideration simply as an escape from boredom.

She is naturally a bit coquettish, and though she is not intentionally wily with regard to her femininity— this ignorance due in part to her age and her sheltered upbringing— she enjoys attention, and oftentimes will gladly accept whatever she gains from it. She's still relatively naïve, however, and so she may smile blithely right up until the sudden moment she decides to bite you if you happen to blunder past a boundary she isn't aware of.

Long ago, the Tuoni’s humble mountain-dwelling ancestors became familiar with Rionnach in their practice as traveling merchants, and it was ultimately in the bustling Mainlands that they decided to resettle. There they struggled to build a business in the trading and peddling of their various goods, a business that has since grown to gain plenty of success over many generations, now sustained by her father’s passion for hunting and butchery as well as her mother’s craft as an herbal apothecary. Tähti has lived comfortably and carelessly for all of her little life because of their hard work.

As the youngest of the family, not to mention the only daughter among her other siblings, Tähti has grown accustomed to being heavily doted on. Although they have undoubtedly aided and abetted the child’s spoiled attributes, and in spite of Tähti's usual outright refusal, her parents have recently begun to attempt to engage her with small tasks and responsibilities in the hope that they will serve to keep her out of trouble, at the very least.
